St George's Parish, Kidderminster

Incorporating St George's, St Chad's and St Cecilia's churches

    Youth Alpha Day Away

Twenty youth and leaders spent a day playing games eating great food enjoying the sun and learning about the Holy Spirit. Highlights included a race to eat chocolate mousse while wearing tights over your head and a crazy bucket game (a mixture of rugby, football and basketball).

The day away was a part of the youth alpha course which the younger youth group are taking part in this term and the older youth are helping to lead (youth alpha is a fun place for youth to explore what Christianity might mean for them). For some of the young people this will lead to being confirmed on the 10th of June.

  • PoKE

Formation of The Parish of Kidderminster East

For the past 18 months the five churches of St Cassian’s, Chaddesley Corbett, St Mary’s Stone, St Chad’s, St Cecilia’s and St George’s have been informally working together. A new parish of Kidderminster East involving all five churches should (assuming there are no last minute hitches) come into being on June 1st 2012. We will be marking this on Sunday the 10th of June at 10.30am at a joint Confirmation service at St George’s church.

Much of the day to day life of the churches will continue without any immediate changes but our hope and prayer is that God will richly bless us as we seek to serve Him and live out the Kingdom of God in Kidderminster East.

  • 24-7 Prayer

    24/7 Prayer

There will be a service at 9pm every day (10pm on Monday) of night prayer (Compline) which will be a great way to end your day.

Welcome

Welcome to the Parish of St George’s Kidderminster, a group of three Anglican churches: St George’s, St Chad’s, and St Cecilias (the clergy of this Parish also have responsibility for services at St Cassian’s Chaddesley Corbett and St Mary’s Stone).

We aim to be a church where active followers of Jesus Christ worship God and live out His love in the world. Feel free to join us at one of our five regular Sunday services.

There are many groups running across the churches for people from toddler groups, to groups for teenagers and the elderly. Many people in the church are also part of small groups that meet every other week during term time.

If you have questions about Christianity, or are a new Christian, we would love to invite you to join the next Alpha course.

If you are thinking about getting married, or you or your child would like to be baptised, then please contact us.
