Services

The Parish has six regular services across the three churches here are some details of what you can expect, the calendar on the frontpage will show any variation in the normal pattern of worship.

WEDNESDAYS

St George’s 10.15

Holy Communion 10.15 – 11.00

A quiet and relaxed service of Holy Communion in the church’s side chapel, with a short sermon and followed by tea coffee and biscuits.

SUNDAYS

St George’s 8 o’clock

Holy Communion 08.00 – 08.45

A quiet and traditional service of Holy Communion for the beginning of Sunday

St Chad’s 9.30

Holy Communion Morning Prayer or Family Service 09.30 – 10.30

Approximately 60-80 people gather together to worship in a relaxed an informal setting using a mixture of worship styles. The service includes a sermon and activities (sometimes in separate groups and sometimes as part of the main service) for children from 0-11 and is followed by tea coffee and biscuits.

St Cecilia’s 11 o’clock

Holy Communion Morning Prayer or Family Service 11.00 – 12.00

Holy Communion or Morning Prayer – Approximately 30-50 people gather together to worship in a relaxed an informal setting using a mixture of worship styles. The service includes a sermon and activities (sometimes in separate groups and sometimes as part of the main service) for children from 0-11 and is followed by tea coffee and biscuits.

St George’s 11 o’clock

Holy Communion Morning Prayer or Family Service 11.00 – 12.00

Approximately 80-100 people gather together to worship in a mixture of traditional and more contemporary worship styles. The service includes a sermon and worship led by a robed choir there are normally activities (sometimes in separate groups and sometimes as part of the main service) for children from 0-13 and is followed by tea coffee and biscuits.

St George’s Evening Service

Holy Communion or Evening Prayer 18.30 – 19.30

Approximately 10-20 people gather together to worship in a traditional worship styles. The service includes a sermon and worship led by a robed choir.
